Phillip & Christina | A Rustic Blush and Mint Wedding at Ole Zim’s

For a day in late August, this past Saturday was absolutely stunning. The sun was shining, the breeze was keeping us nice and cool, and it didn’t climb above 85 degrees! It was almost as if these two had someone looking out for them to ensure that their day was perfect. And perfect it was. 😉

Tina and her family were hiding in a coat closet until Phillip and all of his guys got to Ole Zim’s. The makeup artist even set up her light in there! We came in and gave hugs and grabbed all of her gorgeous details…including the dress that had been hanging in her closet for TWO YEARS! You guys…we’re not sure how she did it. Because we’re pretty sure if it were Stephanie, she’d be trying it on every single day and wouldn’t be able to hide it from Kent. Lol. While we were walking around photographing little things here and there, it became extremely clear that family is SO important to Tina. Her niece and nephew were constantly hugging her and telling her how beautiful she looked, her mom and future mother-in-law were so eager to help her with whatever she needed, and her dad was outside just waiting to see his little girl. <3

When Tina stepped into her dress, things got real! PJ and his guys were getting ready as well, and keeping his nerves under way with jokes and maybe a little bit of liquid courage. 😉 Tina had a note for PJ to read before they saw each other…and oh my word you guys…it made their first look so priceless! First looks are so wonderful anyway, but you guys…this took it to the next level. Just wait until you see their faces!

Portraits were so much fun with these two and their family and friends. We just LOVE it when we can come into a wedding day and feel like we’ve known the bridal party, and that’s exactly how this past Saturday was! They were so fun, funny, and welcoming, we felt like we were all old friends! The ceremony was incredible, and the reception was so beautifully decorated and so much fun!

Congrats PJ & Tina! We can’t wait to share the rest of the images with you guys!
