Chris & Amber | A Navy and Coral Wedding at Union Station in Marion, Ohio

Batten down the hatches. You’re in for a long post. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the fall of 2005, I (Stephanie) moved into a dorm room on the second floor of Batchelder at BGSU. I was told my roommate would be there in the morning. I had a very long night and spent a long time setting everything up on my half of the room. I even went so far as to decorate! I slept in the next morning, and in walks Amber while I was still sleeping. And was extremely confused when she saw someone else in the room she was assigned because she was promised a private dorm room. You see, when Amber was a little girl, she was in an unfortunate accident that resulted in her losing her hearing. So she was to be in a private room with lights that would alert her when someone was calling on the phone and at her door. Pretty awesome, right??? Anyway, I digress.

Needless to say, the office had made a mistake and I had to pack everything up and move across the hall. And Amber kept apologizing over and over again like she had done something wrong! That’s just a testament to her sweet nature. She was AWESOME to live across from. I’m SO happy the office made that mistake because she is such a wonderful person! She was there to talk to if I needed someone, she helped me with my hair and makeup, she was always so kind and so positive. And when you see what she’s done with her life, that would come as no surprise to you. <3 ย She is an ASL teacher and has impacted the lives of so many young people. She speaks at Miracle Ear conferences, has gone through multiple surgeries, has been an intervention specialist, and does it all with a smile on her face. Seriously you guys. Words can’t even describe my awe and respect for this woman. When you meet her in person, you completely understand. <3

So it comes as NO surprise to anyone that Chris is a pretty amazing person as well. We were so excited to have dinner with them after their engagement session last year, and have been waiting very impatiently for their wedding ever since! We don’t even know what else we can say. So we’ll just let the pictures do the talking for us. <3
